Module overview — Overview of Managed AI Services Goal : Compare the managed AI services of the three major providers and choose one with a weighted decision grid. Study time : Durée d'étude : 4 h Prerequisites : no prerequisites Running thread : Kamau, in Nairobi. Kamau is a cloud engineer at Zawadi Pay, a fintech in Nairobi that offers microloans on mobile phones. Management wants to launch a first AI service. Three cloud providers each promise the best model, and Kamau must present a reasoned choice within a week. He needs a grid he can show and redo, not an opinion. Lesson plan : 1. Comparing the managed AI services of the three providers 2. Building a multicriteria decision grid 3. Exploring the consoles: models by region and quotas What you will be able to do : - Compare the three families of managed AI services against the need of a use case - Calculate the weighted score of three providers and test how sensitive that ranking is - Read tables of models by region and quotas to rule out an insufficient option End-of-module questions (Answer in writing, with figures.) : 1. How many requests per minute does your use case require at peak? Give the calculation and the number. 2. Which eliminating criterion did you choose for Zawadi Pay, and why can no score make up for it? 3. What weighted score does the provider you recommend get? Give a number out of 5. Module deliverables : - Your weighted decision grid with the evidence behind each score - The Zawadi Pay needs sheet opened in your notebook
